Packet8 Voice over IP
 8x8, Inc. and its subsidiaries develop and market telecommunications products and technology for internet protocol (IP) telephony and video applications.
8x8 offers three product lines:
- Telephones, videophones and communication services that work over broadband IP networks;
- Voice and video semiconductors and related software;
- Software that implements a private branch exchange (PBX) system that enables a business to run its phone system over the same data network it uses for internet access.
8x8 sells videophones that work over normal phone lines and an IP telephony software and service offering that enables people to communicate over the Internet with IP telephones and IP videophones as easily as they communicate today with a telephone or cell phone. 8x8's Packet8 Service (powered by the Packet8 communications software platform) enables plug-and-play installation of IP communication appliances and easy-to-use internet phone service.
