So, it’s not as integrated as a downloadable app, but it’ll do for a quick fix. You can select from a list of the people you...

GMail Mobile: Google gets mobile mail right

GMail Mobile: Google gets mobile mail right
Consider this a mini-review and professional "thumbs up" for Google's GMail Mobile.  I've recently begun the process of moving all of my Email over from a custom domain to a couple of Gmail accounts, and as such have started accessing Google's mail system from the handsets I've been reviewing over the past few weeks.  I gotta say that Google's getting it right. First, I used an iPhone to pull down my GMail messages via POP3.  No problems at all, and GMail's spam filter works...

Super phone: AT&T N95 ad shows up on Google
A few weeks ago I reported on increased talk about Nokia's N95 - that do it all 5MP Camera, GPS & WiFi uberphone - making its way to AT&T here in the US before too long.  That was just the latest in a chain of related rumors dating back to last summer, but it did seem to have some legs.  Well, chalk another one up for those legs (or for an unfortunate error on AT&T or Google's part). I Googled "Nokia N95" while researching an article just now and there at the top of my...

Now that the rest of the world is gearing up for WiMAX, LTE, and other 4G solutions, good ol' T-Mobile is ready to roll out their long awaited 3G network here in the USA.  CNET's Kent German reported that he tracked down T-Mobile CEO Hamid Akhavan in Barcelona this week and asked him when the magic switch will finally be flipped.  Akhavan "didn't give an exact date but he did promise it would happen by this summer," wrote German. Wow.  That's almost a launch window! German...

Dude, youre getting a gPhone: Are Dell and Google making mobile together?
CrunchGear picked up on a Marketing Week story pointing towards a possible Google-Dell joint announcement at 3GSM in Barcelona next month.  I blogged last month about a possible Dell smartphone being in the works, and Google has of course announced their Android mobile operating system, so this alleged partnership is worth keeping an eye out for, at the least. Dell could, of course, simply be readying an Android-powered device that's generating all of the speculation.  Such a...

That is a huge phone! That is going to be hard to talk on!

Re: No GPhone in the works?

Think you may be talking out out of your hat. Everything points to the contrary.

Re: No GPhone in the works?

Hey Mike did you read the NY times article? It clearly states Googles main focus will be initially the OS and not the GPhone.
