REVIEW - OPEX was recently purchased by Total Call International (TCI). TCI and Opex are still offering separate long distance calling plans as detailed below. After selecting this plan the correspondence between yourself and this company will reflect both company names Opex/TCI. OPEX offers this plan as an option in areas that do not qualify for their lower rate plans. This usually means you have LOCAL phone service with a smaller independent phone company which charge higher rates for companies like OPEX to operate.
PAPER Vs. EMAIL BILL - While you can choose to receive a Paper Bill in the mail each month, we recommend opting for the email version of the invoice. OPEX will waive the Minimum usage fee for all customers choosing the email version. Many companies are offering this additional benefit to reduce the costs associated with sending a physical bill in the mail.
Billing Increment: Domestic calls are billed in 6 second increments after the first 18 seconds (18/6 billing). All International calls are billed in 60 second increments.
Many people are using their cell phones for long distance calls. If you divide your minutes by your monthly bill, you’ll see that regular long distance (especially the plans offered on our site) are less expensive in almost all cases. And, if you go over your minutes, you’ll be paying 20-40 cents per minute. Plus, by using long distance at home you’ll have better clarity!
