ECG Easy 2.5 service planOverall Rating: By: Kristian Blomerus on Monday, September 29, 2008From: Lowell, MA (United States) Experience: 16 Weeks Pros: Easy sign up. Automatic billing. No maintenance required. Excellent rates, especially international to cellphone numbers which are costly with other carriers.Cons: None.Summary: It was easy to sign up. The rates are very good. The main reason for choosing this carrier is the low rate for calls to cellphone numbers in South Africa. E-mail bills are easy to read and provide all the important information witout opening a browser. 2 out of 6 people found this review helpful
Best voip service I have used !Overall Rating: By: Joseph Chenoweth on Friday, September 26, 2008From: New Brighton, MN (United States) Experience: 6 Months Pros: Have had zero issues, the only difference I notice from my old Quest line is a huge savings every month.Cons: Absolutely NoneSummary: I have another voip service Joi Phone at my Florida home. I have had to contact customer service numerous times and have been been left in limbo not knowing if I was disconnected or not (A recording states up front that you will not hear music or will there be any recording reminding you that you are still on hold) After being n hold for 40 -65 minutes, they inform you that you need to contact another call center. Not so with ECG. They answered within 4 minutes and were extremely professional and stayed on the line until they knew the problem was fixed. I will definitely switch to ECG for my vacation house when the contract with Joi is up. 5 out of 7 people found this review helpful
Good Long Distance ServiceOverall Rating: By: Patrick Keating on Monday, September 08, 2008From: Longview, WA (United States) Experience: 90 Days Pros: 1) low per minute cost and 2) no phony monthly chargesCons: I can't think of anySummary: I am not a heavy long distance customer. I have yet to reach the minimum for ecg to bill my credit card. Very smooth transition from old long distance company, except the old company lost some paperwork and continued to bill. ECG changed over right away. 3 out of 7 people found this review helpful

We love ECG!Overall Rating: By: Piano Guy on Tuesday, August 26, 2008From: Fishers, IN (United States) Experience: 3 Years Pros: ***100% RELIABLE. We've not had a single problem in three years of using ECG. ***FANTASTIC CALL QUALITY. CQ has always been excellent. ***PHENOMENAL VALUE. The ECG Easy 2.5 plan is a great value -- 2.5 cents per minute, calls billed in six-second increments, no minimum usage fee, great in-state rate for us (3.5 cents/minute in Indiana). Our bills went from roughly $10-20 per month to about $3-6 per month. (ECG has actually lowered both their inter-state AND intra-state rates signifCons: It's been three years ago, so the gray matter is a bit foggy, but I believe that ECG did not reimburse the switching fee of $5. They weren't supposed to, so no error there. But some LD companies will reimburse you for the switching fee, so a tiny con. Of course, I more than made up for the switching fee in cost savings in my very first month of using ECG.Summary: A long review, I know, but consider the length an indicator of how positive my experience with ECG has been. In summary, our top 6 reasons for loving ECG are: 6. "Fee-free" Toll-Free, 5. Online Options, 4. Really-rockin' Rates, 3. Crystal-clear Quality, 2. Rock-solid Reliability, and finally... 1. Smile-causing, Soul-stirring, Spirit-lifting Service. To date I have yet to find fault with this company. Obviously highly recommended. 3 out of 9 people found this review helpful
