3U Dial-Around User Review

Pros: Cheap rates for int'l cell calls after the 49 cts initiation. Good rates when travelling internationally.

Cons: For landline calls some other providers are 1-2 cts cheaper, but like the cell feature. Took them a while to yank the LD service from Qwest - go figure.

Summary: I would recommend 3U for people who make international calls on cell phones and who are traveling internationally - competitive rates, reliable service.

Summary: I used to have a landline just to make international calls, but with 3U I save a lot of money by being able to make inexpensive calls from my cell phone. I have only made a few calls with it so far, but I had no trouble getting a clear connection.

Summary: I've been using the service for over three months. I have only called Ukraine and never more than weekly. I know of no better prices for the Ukraine and I've never had any problems with the service. I can't speak for the service in other countries; but if it's not acceptable, it's probably on the home telecom's infrastructure.

Pros: A good tool as an alternative service, when all the others aren't available or working well, example, your service works better that USTRANSCOM in accessing the Sao Paulo, Brazil, metropolitan area.

Cons: Cannot get connections often, example: 011-55-11-4033-0743 (Brazil-Sao Paulo metropolitan area)
Using 800 number is a little more expensive than your competition (example USTRANSCOM)
You give no option to use a local number at a lower rate to make calls (example USTRANSCOM 718 number which can be accessed from cell phones using excess minutes and cost only .3c/min for a call to Brazil)
