As expected, Nokia dropped a bomb on its faithful at Nokia World in Barcelona early this morning. What was it? The flagship N97 smartphone. Due in the first half of 2009, the N97 looks kind of like a modernized HTC Tilt, with its sliding, tilting touchscreen and hidden QWERTY board. Check out Nokia's promo video of the N97.

1/9/2009 2:07:08 AMThats cool. I didn't ask for anything this Christmas because I decided to get this instead. Heh. Well it's worth it to me so yea, a small sacrifice, and a small wait. But the anxiety of waiting kills me. =P

1/9/2009 1:58:17 AMLol i see, I have the N80, the phone which Nokia used to make the jump from phones to smart-phones, I love it so much, I'm attached and I will find it hard to drop it for this. But I will. Yeah they tried hard, but hey its not bad. Think you'll buy it?

1/9/2009 1:54:31 AMyeah. now that i think about it, apple tried to do too many things on the touch screen, at least the n97 has a keyboard. right now i only have an ipod touch, but the touch keyboard is the same, and boy is it annoying

1/9/2009 1:11:21 AMa big, widescreen: Nokia tablets long before iPhone display thats touch capable: Nokia once again, before iPhone with an accelarometer: Nokia Nseries devices come with that included, all of em. user friendly display: relating that to iPhone lol, more like mediocre OS, proper internet browser: Long before iPhone email and all that stuff: Long before iPhone Competition breeds perfection. the iPhone is good because it spiced up competition and resulted in this.

1/9/2009 12:59:48 AMall you did was name features that iphone doesn't have, but that doesn't mean it isn't an iphone wannabe. its cool and all, i'm not dissing it, but look at the design. a big, widescreen display thats touch capable, with an accelarometer, user friendly display, proper internet browser, email and all that stuff.

1/8/2009 5:13:53 AMWOW!I want one! This is what I just found about it (in comparison with iPhone 3G):it has Carl Zeiss 5MP camera (2MP),32GB + 16GB microSD = 48GB of memory! (16GB),QWERTY keyboard (-),3.5" screen (3.5"),MMS (-),weight 150g (135g),price 550E (500E).It's like 2x better and it comes from world's best mobile phone manufacturer <3 I just can't wait to see it.
