At a GlanceEditor Rating:   4.34 4 4 4 5 5 What’s Not Good: External keypad makes the phone look like a retro calculator, although I suppose that could be seen as a good thing. Space bar is small and oddly placed. Verizon’s menu system can be confusing. Limited Bluetooth functionality. Still a little bulky. Bottom Line: Verizon and LG shrunk the EnV and the results are good. While the original EnV was an innovative but (very) big and expensive high-end phone, the EnV2 is smaller, cheaper, and slots into the middle of VZW’s messaging phone lineup. Text addicts who don’t need Voyager’s touchscreen — and additional size and cost — should find QWERTY bliss with this affordable and capable handset. I said the Env2 i had it for 7 days and it is a 9 1/2 out of 10 and then orginal env was a 6 1/2 out of 10. I love it. Now that the Lg Dare is out i wish I had waited longer to get it while I could. :-( This is a great phone though, and I am completely satisfied with it. The txting is GREAT. My friend just got it and i tried it out and loved it! i was still deciding wether to get it or not but i finally made up my mind to get the new lg env 2 because there is seriously no better phone for its price. If you are looking for a great texting phone this is the one for you. Sunday, July 13, 2008I have the LG enV2 in maroon, and I love it! You couldn't get a better phone, it's great for texting, the screen is really big on the inside but on the outside it is pretty small, but you probably would have it open most of the time. I you are not a big texter or don't have texting, I would go with a different phone. The camera is great and easy to use. There are so many features like bluetooth and whatever. Sunday, July 13, 2008I had trouble with the first phone connecting to the bluetooth, after pairing. I returned the that one and the second worked flawlessly. I Bought a Motorola bluetooth, returned it, then the lg bluetooth and returned it. Neither could provide a clear call. I now have the Aliph 1 and am pretty happy with it. I've downloaded a lot of music on Rhapsody, and am now looking for a stereo headset. The screen and keyboard on the phone work very nicely and I'm quite happy with the phone. just wish the blue tooth devices were more reliable. 2 Bluetooth headsets later and the thing won't connect. The first time I tried it with a cheap Jabra, and it connected the first attempt but never again. Tried upgrading to a Motorola headset and it won't even connect once. I love the phone and don't want to exchange, but this is a problem!

Wednesday, July 02, 2008I got my first LG enV 2 on 6/10 at a Verizon Wireless store. For once, I didn't have to wait in line for 2 hours to speak to an employee! Returned it on 6/26 as the Bluetooth headset I purchased from Verizon Wireless at same time would not connect after the first time it was paired. Removed it, reinstalled it, no connection. So, I buy another Bluetooth headset model somewhere else, thinking I would return the one purchased with the phone. Guess what, it wouldn't connect either! So, I trucked on down to Verizon Wireless store and exchanged the phone for another LG enV 2. Had no problem installing and connecting the Bluetooth headset. But, guess what, it never connected again after it was turned off that first day. I am very angry and very sad. I love the phone but because I cannot physicallly hold onto ANY handset for any length of time, this phone is no use to me without being able to use a Bluetooth headset. I will keep trying to get in the door of the Verizon Wireless store to get someone to help me exchange for another type of phone. Has anyone else had this problem? I had no problem with another LG phone, just taking advantage of my free every 2 year plan.
