LG enV2 Review - At a Glance
At a GlanceEditor Rating: What’s Not Good: External keypad makes the phone look like a retro calculator, although I suppose that could be seen as a good thing. Space bar is small and oddly placed. Verizon’s menu system can be confusing. Limited Bluetooth functionality. Still a little bulky. Bottom Line: Verizon and LG shrunk the EnV and the results are good. While the original EnV was an innovative but (very) big and expensive high-end phone, the EnV2 is smaller, cheaper, and slots into the middle of VZW’s messaging phone lineup. Text addicts who don’t need Voyager’s touchscreen — and additional size and cost — should find QWERTY bliss with this affordable and capable handset. DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT STUFF. Sunday, August 31, 2008The phone might be nice but phonedog never mentioned anything about the camera quality so let me tell you. The old Env camera had zooming capability but the new EnV2 doesn't and the picture quality is not that good. Saturday, August 30, 2008im thinking about geting this phone, but i need to know some things
if some 1 could answer the questions, that would be nice.

Saturday, August 30, 2008I've had it for about 2 months now, i love it....but the shiny line of hard plastic around it begins to tear very quickly...its really dissapointing :( Saturday, August 30, 2008i love this phone its is a great phone and i know a lot of people who have it Thursday, August 28, 2008considering getting this phone. just got the glyde and hate it already..by the way, had the chocolate and the battery dies after 12 hours. so there you go. Tuesday, August 26, 2008 I would have preferred a small fliptop, but got the Lg en V2, because the battery is supposed to be better than most. I don't want to go through phones so fast, adding to the landfills. Patrick, the sales person at Verizon said the Chocolate has the 2nd best battery if that's a consideration --not sure how accurate. I was also trying to decide between those 2 phones. Saturday, August 23, 2008The env2 is nice. My fav things to do on it is IM messaging and txt, pic, and video messaging. The keyboard as well as the camera and video capture is the best. Battery life is also great as well as the hinge. I used to have the samsung alais and the hinge broke, but the env2 is real sturdy. Saturday, August 16, 2008I love my env2!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! My Dad just got a new Dare today. I was actually thinking about getting one but chose not to. I love my env2 more than I think I would've liked a Dare. Thursday, August 14, 2008delanta green get the voyager the bigger QWERTY on the voyager is amazing. and the touch screen works great! get it youll love it Friday, August 08, 2008i love this phone im getting it for my birthday in black. are there alot of accesories for it? Monday, August 04, 2008I had the original V, and it was the phone that made me switch to Verizon. I loved it and still keep it around as a "backup" phone. I thought I could do with a lesser phone for awhile, so I switched to a lower Samsung SCH-A930 phone. It was good but I MISSED the keyboard of the V. So, in November of last year I got the Alias. My Alias had poor call quality (which is uncharacteristic) and because of it's small size I kept dropping it and losing my grip on it. I dropped it the first time within DAYS of getting it. I lived with it, but the call quality kept getting worse until I opted to get a replacement phone. That phone was the enV2. So far I love it and plan on selling my old Alias (U740) and using the enV2. It is the better phone for me. Saturday, August 02, 2008Dose anyone know if LG env2 phone work with the microSDHC because i want to get an 8 MB card but they only come with HC and everything i have read says that the device has to be compadable with it but everything i have read about the phone dose not mention HC just says microSD not microSDHC ? i just dont want to waste money on the wrong thing ! Thursday, July 31, 2008i dont know if its just me but i didnt want to have to go and buy v-cast from verizon all over again because i had it for my old chocolate. all i need is headphones. and since the headphone jack is 2.5mm its really hard to find headphones. so i went and bought a 3.5mm jack for it for a couple dollars. and for some reason whenever i put the headphones in the highest volume is REALLY quiet. pretty much not even enjoyable. i know its not the 3.5mm jack because i had used a friends 2.5mm headphones before and it was still really quiet. and the volume is turned up all the way. ah i dont want to have to buy an ipod or something. is anybody else having this problem? Wednesday, July 30, 2008does it have aim Tuesday, July 29, 2008how many text messages can it hold?
i heard at least 600 but is that to much or can it hold more? Monday, July 28, 2008I own the env2 and I love it. My mother has the env and its way bigger, but the camera on the env2 has no lens cover, unlike the original. So if you like to take pictures, that is something you'd want to consider. But, what I found was cool was that you could save videos directly to your memory card, so they could be as long as you want rather than just 30 seconds. Monday, July 28, 2008Decision: The LG nv2 vs. the new chocolate3? Is it just me trying to decide between the two? i know they're made for different things, one's a texting machine, the other predominantly is a music phone but still somebody else please chime in on this decision. I've had the LG env2 for a bout a week but feels a bit too big and heavy and wished it opened easier for a lefty like the alias.. argh! help
think the trade for the qwerty keyboard vs. the smaller size of the choco3 might be actually worth it. anybody? Saturday, July 26, 2008just got the env2 and pretty impressed overall. however, same problem as others here ... bluetooth connects first time, then cant connect again. weird. anyone have thoughts on fixes? Wednesday, July 23, 2008well i actually had the old env and this one is pretty much way better but i cant figure out how to connect my blue tooth!!!!!!!!!!! arg |
