LG Dare Review - At a Glance
At a GlanceEditor Rating: What’s Not Good: “Full HTML” Web browser is mildly disappointing; Touchscreen can take a bit of getting used to; No VCAST TV support Bottom Line: Dare is the best multimedia phone Verizon currently offers and the best cameraphone they’ve ever offered. It may well be the best cameraphone available from any US carrier right now, as well. Though the touchscreen is smaller than those of its competitors (iPhone, Instinct, and Vu come to mind), it’s bright, clear, and relatively responsive. If you don’t need QWERTY or VCAST TV, Dare is the best feature phone on VZW, and arguably the best media-rich handset currently available on a US carrier. I am leaning towards the krave cause i am all a crazy texter, and i am not sure if the dare is worth the 50 bucks more, or if i am willing to pay. So any suggestions which is better? Tuesday, October 28, 2008i am stuck right now between the LG Dare and the verizon Blitz. My uncle has the Dare and i like the look and feel of it but the texting seemed like it would take a bit of time to get used to. The only reason why i am stuck between the two is because my upgrade isn't due until December of 2009 and i'm not sure if i want to wait that long because my phone now is already beat up. If i do wait i will probably get the dare but thats now and by next december a new phone will have come out that i would like so i wouldn't want the Dare any more. So i would like to get a month to month plan with my new phone but the dare costs $410 and the Blitz only costs $240. Should i wait and see what happens or just get the Blitz now? Wednesday, October 22, 2008I can't wait until i get my dare but i have to wait until Feb. 17 for my upgrade Thursday, October 09, 2008I am looking at potential phones and I am really impressed with the LG Dare. Just recently I saw news about a touchscreen Blackberry coming out soon that looks very ineresting. I would like to see an in depth comparason of these 2 phones just so I know that I am getting the best one. Sunday, October 05, 2008ill trade someone a lg dare with bad esn for a glyde htc touch or voyager! contact me at cutelilnatedawg@yahoo.com Monday, September 15, 2008i have been thru 2 alias, 6 env2s, 3 glydes, and 3 voyagers since april 2008... i sure hope my dare i am getting tomorrow is a whole lot better Thursday, September 11, 2008I love this phone, I personally think it's far superior to the Instinct, and let's face it, Sprint's customer service is terrible. I was with them for 2 years and never again. Verizon is much better with consumers and you don't HAVE to buy a super expensive plan like you do with Sprint. Wednesday, September 10, 2008if you hold the phone horizontally then you can text like you would on a regular cell phone which is very easy but if you tap to the side of the letters in landscape mode you can hit the letters easie i learned that from one of noah's great reviews Sunday, August 31, 2008is the dare any good cause i'm thinking of getting it but idk if it's good or not so could u answer these questions and send it to my email it's rams.paul95@hotmail.com thanx here they are

3. is AIM free at least on weekends?
4. does it have good vocie quality like is it staticy or anything?
thanx for your help and if there is anything else u think i need to know then please tell me through the email thanx again and c ya later! =D Saturday, August 30, 2008Do you know if this is coming to to Canada? Because if it does I'm either going to get this or the Smasung Instinct. Friday, August 29, 2008why isnt there a video comparing the lg dare to the iphone yet? Sunday, August 24, 2008when is the release date for the dare in Canada? I might get it but im still not sure to get the dare or samsung instinct. Instinct is already in Canada but im not sure when dare is Saturday, August 23, 2008I HEARD U CAN UPLOAD VIDEOS BADASS Thursday, August 21, 2008I want to get this phone but i live in canada so i cant but really good review Thursday, August 21, 2008this is not a phone for a huge texter
I usually text a few hundred times a month, maybe get up to 1000. but rarely. and it works alright for that amount.
if you text in the thousands, then you probably shouldnt get this phone. Wednesday, August 20, 2008The lg-dare is a great phone! u can learn more about it at http://lg-dare.com !!!
Monday, August 18, 2008I would go with Dare. I've had it for a month no complaints. USB works fine. Smaller. Music Players are basically the same. HTML browser works fine and pretty fast. Youtube videos load within seconds. Sunday, August 17, 2008im stuck between the DARE AND the VOYAGER. I just had a SLVR for cingular and i loved the freeness of putting pics from the phone to the computer and songs and pics from the computer to the phone from a usb that took a simple plugging in. I want a phone that meets that but I always wanted internet. I see that DAre is ALL touch and yeah texting ive seen on my brothers erases one letter back so its hard for huge mistakes with huge texters. Seeing as verizon is free texting now id like a keyboard like thing, which will also help with the free html internet that comes with voyager to be easier to scroll into and use. I do hear the speakers and ringtones is a bit muffled on voyager though. DARE only has me as it has a good headphone jack, pick-up and drag touch customization and CLEAR camera. BUT voyager has 8 gb on the microsd and no BIG deal with buying of verizon headphones, and internet seems presumably fast. SIMPLY: which one is easier with the usb to add songs and pics to the phone and pics to the computer to customize it, and which one suits better as an ideal ipod like player? Saturday, August 16, 2008The dare is one sleek phone. I have the Alias, and the Dare is at the top of my list when the time is right. However, to hold me over I go to this forum (http://LG-Dare.com) to tie me over for my Dare addiction. Friday, August 15, 2008tha Dare and HTC Touch and at tha top of my list |
