Sony Ericsson Cell Phone

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: Tami Florio on Saturday, August 05, 2006
From: Marquette, MI (United States)
Experience: 60 Days
Pros: Compact, durable, loud volume, camera phone, videos, lighted key pad, several different ring tones and effects come programmed on the phone already, and it's an overall easy phone to operate.

Cons: No real instructions on how to change the battery cover and face place that they send you (comes with blue and gray.)

Summary: I've been very happy with my cell phone. I did have to return it after 5 days of use because it stopped working. Wouldn't turn on, charge, or respond in any way. But, my new one that I received in exchange has been very durable and has withstood myself and my 4 kids dropping it.

Great phone with great feature

Overall Rating:
4.8 out of 5

Experience: 30 Days
Pros: This phone is very easy to hold. It seems to fit in youy hand very comfortably. It gets better reception than my previous phone did. The screen, both inside and out, is very crisp and clear and has vibrant colors. The camera feature is new to me but the Ericsson makes it very easy to access via a button on the left side. Another really neat feature that it has are the lights that are around the buttons. You can even program them to blink however you want it to.

Cons: A few things that are minor. First, this is my second phone. I had to return the first one the very next day because the speaker died, but the phone was replaced free of charge. Second, I absolutely cannot get the battery cover off, even on the first one I had was the same. Third, I would prefer the camera lense was at the top of the phone rather than the bottom because I always find myself touching the lense. Fourth, The arrow buttons seem to be a bit too small for my fingers, but it hasn'

Summary: Overall, this is a great phone for the money and I am very happy with it. If I had to I would not hesitate to buy it again because of it's low price and the features that it comes with.

Great phone

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5

Pros: Good reception and battery life. Excellent Mac compatibility.

Cons: Somewhat hollow voice quality. Slow data transfers.

Summary: The Sony Ericsson Z520a cell phone features a camera, MP3 player, and wireless Internet access. This phone is specifically designed for the stylish younger generation, particularly young women, who want to carry an attractive accessory just as much as a mobile communications device. You can switch between grey and blue covers for your phone.

Not too great

Overall Rating:
2.7 out of 5

Pros: Good feel. Easy to dial.

Cons: The camera shoots pictures accidentally --a lot! Also, when opening the camera, it's way too easy to accidentally hit the "ignore" button and hang up on the caller.

Summary: I woudn't get this phone again. The outside buttons are way too easy to push accidentally. Also, the center up, down, right, left button inside is too small. I've frequently hit the button next to it instead and ended up online. It's just clumsy to work with. Again, I do like the general feel of the phone, and the pictures it shoots are ok quality. I don't do much playing with extra feature, thouogh there are quite a few. Oh, another negative is the front screen. It's the only clock I carry, but it's WAY too hard to read!

Pros: excellent battery life, small, bluetooth ready, all the features you could expect in a more expensive phone

Cons: camera is okay. could use a flash. i haven't found a way to disfunction camera when in pocket. it will take pictures if resting in your pocket a certain way.

Summary: I went from a brick(nextel i730) to this phone. Best of all I got it for free with a 50 dollar rebate. I love the bluetooth. It's just what I needed. Did I mention all the features? Lot's of features.

Some good features, but not all of them

Overall Rating:
3.3 out of 5

Pros: Loud speaker, clear internal screen, you can customize the phone to fit your personality.

Cons: External screen is kind of dull.

Summary: The Sony Ericsson Z520a cell phone has some great features, but it is missing some essential basics. First of all, the external screen is useless. The clarity, lighting and resolution are just bad. The text (caller ID) is extremely small and it is impossible to see in sunlight. The other con is the menu format. The format cannot be changed to a bar style format which for me is easier to use. The pros are great reception and speaker volume plus customized media.

Much Better Than My Last Phone

Overall Rating:
4.8 out of 5
By: Jodi Swatson on Friday, December 16, 2005
From: Rochester, NY (United States)
Experience: 3 Weeks
Pros: Great screen resolution, great battery life, and a to do list.

Cons: None, this phone has everything you need.

Summary: Sony Ericsson Z520a cell phone is by far the best piece of technology in my home. I can do almost everything on this phone. It is amazing. The screen resolutions is so crisp. The pictures come up just as clear as my digital camera's on the PC. I've had it for a few weeks, and since I live in an apartment I have to catch the elevator, and my other Cingular phone lost signal before I got two feet away from it. Now, I can ride the elevator with no hassle. The phone is super easy to use. There are tutorials to teach you everything. You can change you design to fit your personality The battery life is also amazing. Since my life revolves around work...my cell is an important essential. I can talk on the Sony Ericsson for two days and still have enough battery power left to leave it on. This is a great phone!!!

Great Phone

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: Josephine Raymond on Friday, December 16, 2005
From: LOS ANGELES, CA (United States)
Experience: 2 Months
Pros: Speaker phone, bluetooth, great receptions

Cons: NONE

Summary: I recently purchased the Sony Ericsson Z520a phone and couldn't be happier. The phone is well worth every penny and then some. The call quality is the best I've had in my long line of cell phones. You won't find a phone that is more customizable than this one! Every little detail can be matched to your preference, changeable housing, light sequencing, animated wallpaper (internal/external), animated screen saver, color schemes.

This phone will suprise you!

Overall Rating:
4.3 out of 5
By: Brandy Peyton on Friday, December 16, 2005
From: Albuquerque, NM (United States)
Experience: 2 Weeks
Pros: Nice size and design, speaker phone, bluetooth, and changable faceplates

Cons: Suprisingly enought, NONE...

Summary: I originally wanted the Razr v3 phone, but my wife pointed this phone out, and the razr was so expensive, so when she pointed this out to me, I first looked up the specs. This phone is comparable in every way, and in some ways beats the razr. I was very impressed by the Sony Ericsson Z520a. So I got it. It has bluetooth which is great, the external picture caller ID is a great add on feature. I think it is the best phone in its price range, and even better than some phones that cost over $200.
