Samsung Rant Red

User rating 4.4   Read reviews - Add review
The Samsung Rant is similiar to the LG Rumor in form and function. Key features include a slide out QWERTY style keyboard, microSD memory card slot, stereo Bluetooth, media player, 2.0 megapixel camera and GPS(LBS).

Our fancy algorithm says this stuff is related...

Thursday, December 11, 2008I have the rant and my friend has the rumor. To me the rant is better, and seems to have less problems. The thing that sucks about both phones... is it is supposed to delete the text one word at a time if you hold down the back button (says in manual) but it deletes the entire message! Can't find anything online to help.

Good Phone

Overall Rating:
4.2 out of 5

From: Los ANGLES, CA (United States)

Pros: Fast, one click is easy. GPS is great. txting is fast. software tools, light, not too big, GREAT loud, FOR CHECKING EMAIL.

Cons: Battery life sucks! although when down to one bar, it does last! No flash! Camera has a horrible lag! worst camera. web browser crashes, no realiable

Summary: This is one of the better phones i have had. It small easy to use, and fast. It needs some crucial improvements like battery life, and the 3 second camera lag! plus I flash would be great too. Good, but not great. txting is a blast. I would like more software skins.

Rant Review

Overall Rating:
2.8 out of 5
By: C S on Sunday, November 16, 2008
From: Colorado Springs, CO (United States)
Experience: 8 Days
Pros: Easy to use on txt and navigating

Cons: Battery life extremely sucks!

Summary: I researched for best coverage around my house and sprint had stated it had best. Whether inside or outside my house I barely had 3 bars or less so false advertisement on that factor. I'm considering returning the phone since im within my 30 days so we'll see what happens. Elaboration on poor battery life is going thru my emails or checking the weather for the day and not even using more then 5 mins. of my web has caused my batt from full bars to end of the day by 1 if not dead and beeping. I mean c'mon! I want something that has a decent batt life im not expecting full on dead by the end of the day!!!
