made CHEAPLY..NOT built to Last!! Phone is Dead in < 6 MONTHS!!

Overall Rating:
2 out of 5
By: BOBBY ROSS on Friday, March 09, 2007
From: CHICAGO, IL (United States)
Experience: 6 Months
Pros: Small, light, and portable.

Cons: Made CHEAPLY, Battery charge is not long, phone intermittently shuts off and on, bad pic resolution, heats up during charging.

Summary: I recently received this phone 6 months ago from US Cellular and had problems with it from DAY ONE! For starters it intermittently shut off while in the middle of an important phone call, did not store a charge for longer than 1 hour, and was built NOT to last! I did drop the phone a few times but no more or less than other phones (like the VX4400 which lasted me TWO YEARS). My phone does not work anymore and the estimated repair from US Cellular was a WHOPPING $175-WHAT A RIPOFF! I decided it is better to buy a cheaper replacement phone to hold me over for one more year than to give US Cellular and extended contract. I almost believe there is a conspiracy to manufacture the phones cheaply to make customers spend LOTS OF MONEY on artificially inflated prices on phones during the term of your contract. This way, the phone company benefits in terms of service and hardware (even though they gave you the first one free which should have been built into the cost of service to begin with). The sad thing is you have to buy THEIR PHONE or it will not work with THEIR NETWORK-WHAT A SCAM!

Motorola v265

Overall Rating:
3.5 out of 5
By: William Laughlin on Wednesday, October 18, 2006
From: Pine City, NY (United States)
Experience: 2 Years
Pros: Being a flip phone it is easy to store in your pocket. Internet Connectivity, Ability to play mp3 ringtones, Camera.

Cons: Camera picture quality is not great. No bluetooth. Phone does not have a long life.

Summary: The phone overall is good. From my experience though it is good when it is working. Eventually when you close the flip, it will shut itself off and turn back on. I would still use the phone, because it looks good and it serves the purpose of what I need. (As far as it dying that is what the warranty is for.)

Motorola v265

Overall Rating:
4.3 out of 5
By: T Tyrell on Monday, September 25, 2006
From: King of Prussia, PA (United States)
Experience: 2 Years
Pros: Extremely durable with excellent battery life. I have had the phone for 2 years and have not had any issues other than the volume recently starting to go out.

Cons: 2 years old and sometimes I need to pull off the cover and clean because the volume is starting to go. Picture quality is not that good.

Summary: Overall this is a very good phone with excellent battery life and many features. The picture quality is not that good, but that is not what I bought the phone for. My overall rating would be a B+.

Good Quality, Fair Price Phone

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5
By: Shawna Phillips on Thursday, August 31, 2006
From: Chesaning, MI (United States)
Experience: 1 Years
Pros: Camera, text, web enabled, has all the features you would want, 3way, call fwd etc

Cons: not voice caller recognized, key pad can be small for those with larger fingers

Summary: When I can upgrade my phone I will not be getting this phone but to be fair this has been a great phone for me. It is durable and attractive. Perfect for size - not too big, not too small. Comes in basic black for color. Good for men or women. All around good phone for anyone.

Other than the Screen, This is a Great Phone!

Overall Rating:
3.8 out of 5
By: Matthew Furgeson on Friday, December 23, 2005
From: Mt. Pearl, ID (United States)
Experience: 7 Months
Pros: Great reception, voice activated dialing, and the menue set-up.

Cons: Screen and picture qualitly.

Summary: The only two things I don't like about my phone is the camera and the screen. Together, they have to be the lowest resolution known to man. I take a picture and it's impossible to actually see it on the screen. However, if you're going to use it as a normal phone, it's great! Never drops calls. Always seems to have several bars of service. Menu selections seem to be very easy to use on the go. Lastly, the voice dialing is by far the best I have EVER used.

Both good and bad.

Overall Rating:
2.5 out of 5
By: Jodi Swatson on Friday, December 23, 2005
From: Rochester, NY (United States)
Experience: 6 Months
Pros: Great speaker phone, nice comfortable design.

Cons: Battery life and camera quality.

Summary: The battery life is very short. I fully charged the phone before the weekend. Went two full days without the charger and the battery went down to one bar. I didn't even make any calls on the phone. Quality of camera is horrible, even in daylight the picture still comes out very dark. This phone was listed that it had photo caller ID, that is when you can see a picture of the person calling you, but in the phone manual it does not show you how to use this feature. The call quality is pretty good. Speakerphone sound is crisp and clear.
