Pros: decent coverage in the areas they service

Cons: horrible customer service. you are locked into contract even if you move to a roaming area in which they do not have cell towers

Summary: My wife and I recently moved to an area in TN where Alltel does not have towers nor do they have Alltel coverage. Yes, we have spotty roaming coverage, but that kills our batteries. Our contract is up in 3 months and we asked to have the early termination fee waived ($400 for both lines). They refused and threatened us on the phone. We never missed a bill payment during the 21 months of our contract and we were great customers. Please stay away from Alltel.

Pros: Nearly all the plans offer free nights and weekends and free mobile to mobile.

Cons: You have to get a 59.99 or higher plan to get mycircle. They also don't have quite as big of a selection of phones as other carriers.

Summary: I have been a prepaid customer for a while and have been pretty satisfied with it. It has been good for a prepaid plan, most carriers want you to buy minutes every 30 or 60 days, and some take two or three times as many minutes off your balance as what you really used. Alltel is pretty fair, and I liked that you get to choose nights and weekends, mobile to mobile, fave number or unlimited text with their prepaid. As far as the regular contract service is, I have only been a customer for a short period of time, but I am satisfied so far. They approved me for service without a deposit when other carriers would not. They also have good rebates on the phones with a contract. Great customer service, quick delivery. Their plan fits all my needs, I have 700 minutes for 40 bucks, with night and weekends, mobile to mobile, free long distance, along with the basics, like caller ID and call waiting. I am disappointed that I could not get MyCircle unless I got a plan 59.99 or up. I guess they would not be making as much money if they gave it to everyone, but I wish they would, then I would be 100% satisfied with them.

Pros: Good signal, good plans, nice phones.

Cons: Texting is way more expensive than any other company

Summary: I like alltel. It is one of the few companies that i have a good signal at my house. We have a good plan for a good price. BUT the texting is so much more expensive than all the other companies. What you pay for 300 , you could get unlimited elsewhere. It is rediculous. For unlimited it is a whoping 20 bucks. That is outragious.

Pros: low prices & GREAT coverage.

Cons: not that many new phones.

Summary: i`ve been with alltel for the past 2 years or so & it`s been greatt. i`ve had coverage everywhere! even at my school which is supposed to block cellphone signals. i`m so glad for my service. my friends have different phone companies but alltel works great for me!

Pros: No suprise charges, free night&weekends, affordable, usually a strong signal

Cons: Honestly, I haven't had any negative experience thus far.

Summary: The thing I like most about alltel is that you get exactly what you sign up for. I am not plagued by random charges like my friends with cingular, nor are my calls dropped frequently like those I know with T-mobile. I almost always have a strong signal even though I live in a rural area, and I almost never have dropped calls. I don't know too much about the customer service, because I have never had to call them, no problems to speak of.

Pros: Phone goes dead too fast

Summary: I can charge my phone today and tommorrow it's dead. This is my second phone and my last. My Granddaughter had Alltel and she left. I dont know when my contract runs out, I might have to pay for leaving so what.

Summary: I have been with alltel for 4 months now and it is the greatest phone company out there. They have good service and they are just good. I use to be with sprint and i hated it so much they never had service in raul areas but not alltel your phone works in raul areas and you can use your phone on digital and antlog networks but it is mostley digital. I love every minute of it. yes i would recommend this company to anyone. I have a lg ax490 and i love it to. But when you are in antlog area's mostley you can send and recive text and make calls but most of the time you will be in ditigal area. And if you travel to the country this is a great company for you.

Pros: Wide-range coverage, My Circle, Free Mobile-to-Mobile and Mobile-to-Home, Nights/Weekends begin at 7PM, awesome phone choices, variety of minutes packages, terrific customer service!

Cons: Can't think of any!

Summary: I've had Alltel for 6+ years now and wouldn't dream of switching. Every time I shop around (because that's the wise thing to do), I either don't find anything better, or Alltel sweetens the deal by matching a competitor's offer. What's not to love?

Pros: Their phones are lower priced, and they have good rate plans.

Cons: No signal/service, dropped call.

Summary: The problem is that you can't get service and you get dropped constantly. We have an alltel service center across the street from our local Supercenter, but can I call anyone when i'm there? No. When I try to dial out, I get a message from a different cell carrier telling me to please hang up and try again. Meanwhile, people are walking by me talking successfully on cell phones! I live less than 10 miles from a tower and can't get a signal in my home. The land around here is as flat as a pancake, so there are no mountains or hills/valleys to deal with either. I am so disgusted, I've been looking into different providers when my contract ends in March. I wouldn't have stayed with them, but was told there were more towers going up, but no dice. I started with Cellular One and hoped it would improve as Alltel, but after 9 years of hoping, I'm done with them. There has to be something better!

Pros: I love the plan i have from alltell because for one you never roam, second you get free mobile to mobile, Third you get free night and weekends. And You get free long distance so you can stay in touch with you family, Plus you get a whopping 500 minutes a month for only 45 bucks a month what more could you ask for. I love alltell!!!!

Summary: Alltell is the best company out there nothing beats alltell plus freindly staff and employess so if you are thinking about getting a phone alltell is the place to get one!!!!!
