Dude, you're getting a gPhone: Are Dell and Google making mobile together?

CrunchGear picked up on a Marketing Week story pointing towards a possible Google-Dell joint announcement at 3GSM in Barcelona next month.  I blogged last month about a possible Dell smartphone being in the works, and Google has of course announced their Android mobile operating system, so this alleged partnership is worth keeping an eye out for, at the least.

Dell could, of course, simply be readying an Android-powered device that's generating all of the speculation.  Such a device wouldn't necessarily have to bear one iota of Google branding, but definitely would be worth taking note of should it appear on Las Ramblas during next month's mobile festivities.

Google, of course, is denying any such announcement, but Marketing Week has found some of those elusive "Senior industry sources" to lend credence to the story.  I'll keep tabs on this one for you, don't worry.

Meantime, head on over to CrunchGear and Marketing Week for more.
