Clip Case Plus Magnet Phone Holster Large Black

User reviews

  Well made, sturdy case, 2008-12-26
I got this for my Treo smartphone. It is a nice looking case that is practically indestructible. The clip keeps the phone very securely connected to your belt. But, for me, there were two problems with this case.
First, I keep my phone on vibrate at all times and because my phone did not fit tightly in the case, I could not feel the vibration when calls came in.
Second, because this is a soft case, I was constantly having buttons pressed. Even with the Button Lock feature activated, my phone was getting turned on and calls were made while in the case.
BTW, if you have this problem, Amazon has a hard case for the Treo that I made a review about that has worked well for me so far.

Secure and accessible with a very strong clip, 2008-07-07
I purchased this case for my AT&T Tilt and could not be happier. I had two reservations when I ordered it since I usually prefer a horizontal case (longer lid for easy access). I was also worried that the magnetic closure would not offer the kind of security a snap offers. Given that I work in an industrial environment, I wanted something that would protect the phone from a multistory fall but still offer quick and easy access. Those fears vanished after I used the case for a day. The Tilt slides easily from the top, without unintentionally engaging any buttons, and the magnetic "snap" is snug. I used a soldering iron to make a little hole in the bottom for my charging/sync mini USB port. The nylon even melted nicely around the edges to halt fraying. The side walls of the case are elastic and provide all of the gripping force on the phone. I am guessing that phones/devices between 3/4" to 1-1/4" thick should have just the right ammount of tension on them to hold them properly. The elastic sides are also layered, offer pockets to hold sd adapters, extra stylii, or any other small relatively thin accessories. The right hand side also has a "Tooth Ferry" that can hold a blue tooth headset nicely. Inside there are two pockets (one each on the front and back) that will hold a couple of credit cards, cash, or ID easily. I have a 1/4" thick half dollar sized headphone adapter for the Tilt that also fits very well in the rear pocket. Lastly I would like to comment on the belt clip. It is very sturdy and will NOT accidentally come off your belt. Its so secure (mostly due to the lower inwardly curving lip on the bottom) that it makes it fairly difficult to remove when you do want to take it off. In the bigger scheme of things, I decided it was worth this minor annoyance to know that when I am 6 or 7 floors up on a grated metal floor, I don't have to worry one bit about shelling out for a replacement for my new phone.

  Fits at&t Tilt, 2008-02-20
This case is not as elegant as some leather cases you can find, and it looks bulkier than the leather cases. However, it has more pockets to let you store more stuff, and the Bluetooth headset holder is a plus. Its belt clip is very secured.

Please note that NiteIze also makes a version of Clip Case Plus for PDAs/Smartphones. That version is too big for the at&t Tilt. This one is almost perfect for the Tilt/HTC Kaiser.

This magnet version is better than the velcro one.
